The green business scorecard is a rating system to assess where your organization falls on the green spectrum. It will also identify opportunities to help you save money, drive productivity, and boost marketability while lessening your impact on the environment. While we like to acknowledge all green actions as a step in the right direction, our eight-category assessment ranks you among five levels — green, bronze, silver, gold, platinum — so that we can identify how green you currently are and know how to guide you moving forward. If our clients achieve a rating of bronze or higher, we award a certificate and seal certifying the green actions that have been implemented. The Scorecard Rating system is based on 8 pillars of sustainability that we believe represent a whole systems approach to creating a sustainable operation. They encompass eco-practices focused both internal and external to your organization’s operations — establishing a culture of green throughout your business.

With the Green Action Plan, we’ll help you begin to create a culture of green at every level and provide you with a customized road-map to greening your operations. The Green Action Plan includes a Scorecard Assessment and helps you develop a green mission statement and goals to focus your efforts. We’ll summarize your green actions to-date (you may be doing more than you know), and then we’ll recommend targeted green actions appropriate for your industry, your operation, and your budget. Your final product is a report of your mission and goals, GLC Scorecard results, a Green Actions Summary To-Date, and Recommended Green Actions to be implemented.

We'll educate employees on eco-practices that support your organization's green mission and goals as well as eco-practices that they can incorporate into their daily work and personal life.

Once you’ve started implementing eco-practices, we’ll help you set up metrics for measuring your progress on green actions where possible (some green actions are harder to measure the results of than others so we’ll help you identify those that can be tracked and offer you tools to do that).

Getting green is a noble and profitable endeavor, so why not tell your stakeholders, customers/clients, members, and the general public about the positive impact of your green initiatives? We'll help you devise an effective communication strategy to market your green efforts. Communication support may include: development of an environmental commitment statement for your website, posters or others marketing material to display in your offices conveying your green mission and actions as well as your Scorecard rating, and green action updates on social media forums.

Summarizing the year-end results of all your green efforts is a great way to measure your success and report your accomplishments to your staff, your stakeholders, and your clients. We’ll set up monitoring and tracking systems to measure your environmental impact as best we can and summarize your results in a way that you can easily communicate publicly.

Our eco-home assessment evaluates how green you currently are, helps you determine how green you want to be, and gives you solutions that easily, and affordably integrate into your every day lifestyle. Our solutions are designed to be practical and purposeful, as well as good for the planet and your pocketbook! Assessments include an initial consultation on your green motivations and concerns followed by a room-by-room evaluation, including analysis of home appliances and energy consumption as well as demontrations and information on proper recycling, etc. Eco-Home Assessment results are compiled and then provided via email in a comprehensive report within 7 business days. The report includes an evaluation of how green your current lifestyle is with recommendations for living greener, including a GLC Home Resource Guide with practices and solutions.

We offer various workshops designed to educate the general public on green living practices, from energy, water, and waste reduction strategies to creating healthy indoor environments and getting creative with reuse and recycling tips. Topics include Green Living 101, Eco-baby and Greening your Home for Your Family, Holiday Eco-Gift Ideas, Healthy Green Living Inside and Out, Getting Green on a Budget, and more. Green Living Consulting can provide on-site workshops for various events (e.g baby showers). Most workshops are no longer than 2 hours and can be tailored to any specific of time limit with a minimum of 30 minutes.
